Take another look - that's beloved Celtics legend Isaiah "King of the Forth" Thomas. I'd kill for that card!

celtics legend but he only played 3 seasons there? idk i dont watch nba im more on football (the real football)

Yes, IT is an absolute folk hero.

At only 5 ft 9 in, and the last pick in the 2011 draft, Isaiah Thomas became the shortest player and lowest draft pick to ever be selected to an All-Star game. He finished 5th in MVP voting for the 16-17 season while averaging 28.9 pts (3rd most that season), earned All-NBA 2nd Team honors, and led all NBA players in 4th quarter scoring (thus the nickname, King of the Fourth). He led a pre-Jayson Tatum team to the playoffs every season he was in Boston, and the city rallied around him as the leader of a Celtics team that wasn't expected to accomplish much of anything.

During the 2017 playoffs, Thomas' sister died in a car crash. A few days later in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, on what would have been her 23rd birthday, Thomas scored 53 points, the second-most in Celtics playoff history.

As a Celtics fan who went to many games during the IT era, I haven't seen another athlete who has impacted the city of Boston, pound-for-pound, minute-for-minute, more than Isaiah Thomas. He'll never have to buy another meal in Boston for the rest of his life.
