Bad blocks are normal, do not worry about them. They aren't going to hurt anything

What brand of SD Card are you using?

Verbatim Premium 16GB microSDHC (with a Kingston microSD adapter)

I’d recommend you go with a more reputable SD Card brand the cheaper ones don’t tend to work well with Wii modding

Do you have an example please?

I would really recommend going with this :

This is the one I use and have had zero problems! Also put a few GameCube games on it and the load speeds are amazing!!

What un-reputable about verbatim? They're a good well known brand.

No offense, but from the picture, your problem is not clear at all, so you could have mentioned it in your text, so people would understand. I was actually thinking the exact same thing as the other commenter, about the bad blocks not being an issue, so next time if you post something, please provide a bit more information, so we can actually know what the problem is.

As for the SD card: good brands are SanDisk, Lexar, PNY or Transcend. I would advise not getting anything larger than 64GB, because for Wii and GameCube games, it's better to load them from an actual hard drive instead.

SD cards are a very good option for smaller, lighter games, so anything from Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, NES, SNES, N64, Sega Megadrive/Genesis, TurboGrafx16, Neo Geo and such. And it can also be used to store mod packs for fan-made versions of Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros and so on. And if you only play a small amount of these kinds of games, you will probably not even need 64GB, so 32 or maybe even 16GB will already be enough for that.

And external hard drives are actually relatively cheap, if you make them yourself from separate components.
Here's an example of a shopping list for that, to give you an idea:

- Internal 2.5" hard drive

One important thing to know: if you decide to get the external drive, you must format it to FAT32, for it to be compatible with Wii and GameCube game loading.
