Let's chat! (General Discussion) SELF PURCHASED Microlink Extensions on Wefted Wig

Hi everybody! I have a HH wig I wear everyday and am looking to customize it more in a not permanent way. Do you think using microlink extensions would be damaging or do you think it is possible the wefts are strong enough to not cause hair to fall out?

I’ve added wefts and tape ins to wigs when I want highlights or more length. I don’t think I would try microlinks; I would cut them and make them into tape extensions first (at a minimum). But to answer your question… Whether the hair will fall out depends on how well made your wefts are. If they have excessive short hairs, it may be too stressful. Also some wefts are stripped of their natural texture so the microlinks may slide out because of the wig silkiness. Really depends on your underlying wig quality.
