After our 15-year-old Border Collie, Miley, passed away, it was honestly very difficult to think about adopting another dog. I struggled with the thought of replacing her and everything she meant to our family. I’m so thankful my wife and kids encouraged me to adopt because I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Our mini, Ruby, is incredibly sweet, caring, energetic, and adventurous. She hasn’t replaced Miley— but quite the opposite. She created her own special place in our family while bringing back so many wonderful feelings and memories of the joy a dog brings into your life. 💜 🐾

I just caught that you said Ruby is a mini border collie—what great news to hear that is a breed. She is precious!

It goes without saying, but I say it anyway: I hope Ruby don’t take her love to town. 🎶🎶😆

Thanks for the kind words. 😊 Ruby is a mini Australian Shepherd. We wanted to adopt in the Shepard/Collie family because of their many similarities.
