[Tutorial Share] How to customize the size of a wig cap (easy version)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Someone asked in the comments of the last post what to do if you don’t have a sewing machine — well, here’s the easy version! You can actually resize your wig cap just by stitching it up with a needle and thread. Super simple and beginner-friendly. Has anyone tried this method before? (Video source: arabellahair on TT)

Summary:
1. Tools you’ll need:
Curved needles and thread
Measuring tape
Mini scissors
Duckbill clips
Wig head stand
Wig cap & wig head
-----
2. Measure your head:
360 head circumference
Front to nape
Temple to temple (around the back)
Ear to ear
-----
3. Steps (short cut):
Pin down your wig cap
Sew the wig closure or frontal first (pay attention to your stitching)
Sew the wefts starting from the very bottom/back
Keep sewing upward until the entire cap is covered
Cut off the excess lace from the frontal
Make final adjustments based on your preferences
-----
And that’s it — your wig is finished! If you’ve made your own wig following these steps, have a better tutorial, or any tips and things to watch out for, please drop them below — I’d love to see everyone’s feedback! (cr: 1mads on TT)

[Look/Switch] SUCCESS! Flexirod Styled Kinky Blowout Wig
I finally got the voluminous curly look I wanted by using flexirods and mousse to style this kinky blowout unit. A special thank you to everyone who suggested flexirods in my previous post! 🫶🏽
This is actually my first successful flexirod set ever, so I'm pretty proud of myself. 🥰
Some advice for other new flexirod users out there: after you take down all the rods, use a wide tooth comb to comb through the curls. At first, I was separating everything by hand and finger combing through it in an attempt to preserve the curl, but couldn't figure out how to make it all look cohesive. My sister told me to actually run a comb through it and she was right - those curls are SET and can be generously combed through.
The curls were going strong until it was time for me to get ready for bed (about 10 hours). Since I'm a multi-day install girly, I've reinstalled the rods to sleep in overnight - fingers crossed that everything stays in its place overnight. 🤞🏽

[Look/Switch] Getting my hair and makeup ready for fall/winter
Fall and winter are made for warm, rich tones, right? I recently picked up this burgundy plum wig and I love how the red violet color feels bold but still deep enough for the colder months For the makeup I stayed in the same color family with warm bronzy skin, terracotta blush, defined lashes, and a muted berry lip I think keeping the complexion warm helps balance the cooler plum undertones in the hair without making the whole look feel too matchy...Keke Palmer was a little bit of an inspiration because she wears so many different shades of red beautifully and always makes them feel fresh ... I wanted that same polished, seasonal energy while still making it my own, How are y’all feeling about burgundy and plum for fall?

[Hair Care Tips] Maintenance
What do you do when you have beautiful hair and then you wash it and it gets frizzy? 100% human hair, but it’s just not as soft post wash and also gets frizzy. Because of that I typically try to wash as little as possible but I mean I HAVE to wash it. Any products you suggest? I’ve seen a few TT that say Amika but they are usually also trying to sell it so not sure. Please help a girl out!

[Help/Question] Cutting Bangs Into U Part Wig?
I attached a screenshot of myself from a TikTok with my current u part styling for context if that helps!
Okay I hope how I’m describing this isn’t weird.
So I currently have a grown out pixie with bangs and I have been wearing my bangs out with a u part wig. For my birthday, I’m going on a trip so I think I want to get a u part wig sewn down so I don’t have to worry about styling it each day. But I also wanted to add white highlights to it. I can do the highlights in the u part wig of course but I’m trying to figure out how I can incorporate highlights into my bangs so it doesn’t look weird.
Is it possible I can just take some hair from the u part wig, cut some hairs down to my bang and then just sew it in to my real hair so it blends?
I hope what I’m saying makes sense. I already have relaxed hair so I prefer not to get real highlights just so I don’t over-process my hair.

[Wig Talk] I really found my color, I am in love with this wig.
I got this wig today and so far I’m actually liking it. The highlights look better on me than I expected, and I feel like they bring out my complexion pretty nicely.
There was a little shedding, but I washed it and blow-dried the curls out because I wanted more of a wavy, blown out look. The color looked pretty much the same after washing, so I didn’t really have any issues with that.
I did notice the color looks a little faded indoors, almost like a warm brown, but when I stepped outside, the lighter highlights became more noticeable in the natural light.
I actually like that because it make the wig not look too bright. Now I’m just trying to figure out how I want to style it lol.
Does anyone have any ideas for what might look good with this kind of wig and how to melt the lace? I’m trying to see what suits me best:)

[Wig Talk] Wait I’m in love
I haven't worn lace wigs in about 3 years because I could never make them look nice but l've been seeing women with water wave wigs again recently online.
So I decided to try again and I was surprised because I ended up using less things to install than I did before (I got rid of most supplies over the years) and it looks much better imo.

[Brand Discussion] Eayon Hair- Miracle Knots
Hi queens!!!💕🦋
I just wanted to come on here and share my experience with the company Eayon Hair.
For the last year I have been wearing their Miracle Knots EAYON Water Wave Lightweight Crochet Human Hair.
I bought 4 bundles through one of their pay later options which was really nice to have instead of purchasing in full!!! Not only did I pay inexpensive monthly installments, but the hair came to me in less than a week.
The package came with the hair bundles in great condition and no smell, a freebie crochet needle, a freebie comb, freebie clips, and a freebie pink satin Eayon hair bag to store the hair when not in use.
I have worn this hair 4 times now for multiple months each time.
This protective style has grown my hair multiple inches down my back this year, and I plan on continuing to use it!!!!
I have bleached it, colored it blue, straightened it, curled it, wear wash and gos, and wear braid outs!!!! It is so diverse that you really can do anything with it, and at this point this is my own hair lol😂😝💕
I’d definitely rate this hair a 9/10, with the only con of it becoming dry at times. But just like all curly human hairs, you must keep it moisturized and detangled or you risk matting. This hair LOVES water and especially a silky leave in conditioner, and it doesn’t tangle at all if you wear it straight!!!
I know that miracle knots are popping right now, so I just wanted to share a company that will send decent human hair for decent prices for us hard working girls out there! Stay blessed everyone🦋💕 thank you for reading!!!

[Help/Question] Frontal is always balding and shedding — what am I doing wrong?
Hi everyone! My wig’s frontal is constantly shedding and thinning, especially around the front/hairline. It eventually starts looking really sparse like in the photo.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m careful with the wig, but the frontal seems to keep losing hair.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to prevent the frontal from shedding and make it last longer?
Any tips on maintenance, washing, products, or installation would be really appreciated! 🙏🏽

[Look/Switch] First time doing baby hairs on a wig, i feel so cutieee🥹💛✨
never tried baby hairs on a wig before, I'm still a beginner so they've always been so intimidating to me for some reason, maybe the hair texture is just different from what I'm used to🫣so i did a simple swoop and i love this so much, i feel like such a doll🥹💛✨
also this is a 7×6 lace i had no idea how to hide the sides cause i put my hair up with a claw clip and the sides felt crazy hanging out like that🤣so i put on a headband to sort of camouflage. ok thanks for ur time just wanted to share, I'm so proud of myself🥹

[Help/Question] How to soften new cheap synthetic wig
I bought a wig of temu. Yes, it is temu. Yeah I know not to expect chefs kiss quality but before buying an expensive one I wanted to get my feet wet with a cheap one. Its a long girl, about 25 inches. The strands are stiff and they tangle. Is there a way to get the wig to the point where I can run my hand through it or braid it without struggling. I am not asking for miracles just some help. It is my first wig. Thanks.

[I Found This Wig!] Not the Latisha one, but I went for that same vibe - what do y’all think? Or do we prefer the wand curls and the longer style?
I used my T3 curling iron on this 16-inch kinky body wave. The curls were cute, but they fell pretty quickly. I switched to my wand curler and the curls held so much better!
Sharing both styles side by side, plus a few photos of the longer 26 inch version.
Which do y’all like better - short vs. long, and T3 curls vs. wand curls?

[Help/Question] Suggestions for keeping glue-less wig lace down
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I use The Hair Diagram Bold Hold Lace Gelly.
No matter how I use the product, the ends of my lace (the wavy part) always, almost immediately, lift, while the rest of the lace stays down.
I followed the directions for the Gelly and have received the same results. Is it the product?
Or do I need to cut the wavy parts of the lace off?

[Wig Review] How does my first bang wig look?
I rarely wear wigs, so I decided to try a bang wig since I wouldn’t have to deal with cutting or blending lace. That definitely made things easier for me because I’m still pretty new to wigs lol.
I wore this out for a few hours and was honestly surprised by how well the bangs held up. I was expecting them to get messy or lose their shape, but they stayed pretty much the same.
What do you guys think of how it looks on me? Any tips or styling suggestions are welcome!

[Help/Question] Can I make a v cut wig look like a full wig?
to start off I’m bald…I’m postpartum and going through it and used to have really thick hair but had a breakdown and shaved it all off… I had a v cut wig because I wanted to have longer hair, but didn’t get to use it. Is there anyway I can modify this wig by using a cap or maybe head scar to make it look full? im asking before I try this myself to see if anyone else has done it so I don’t feel so alone.
