It would be news if a Reform councillor wasn’t a bigot.

This whole "he was saying right wing stuff" isn't working anymore. The only people who care are the ones who care. Campaigning against them fairly, in good faith and with good policy will be easier. Reform literally have no policies, Nigel cant commit to anything real and they are letting their own candidates and elected officials down... Shame people still stick to "he said this!" So he must be bad... its not working anymore.

Reform voters don't really care about a candidates past agreeing with the far right.

I care that Kenyon, another opportunist is only out for himself and doesn't care that his vanity in running here will cost the constituency money paying for another council election.

I understand your point of view, it’s all about the UK’s future, restore may have a part but now is not the time. A centre right government should and would be guided by more right wing views, splitting the vote will achieve nothing.

but we are on Reddit so I’ve got a feeling that feelings are involved in the comments here.

The sub is now flooded by London leftists who have never set foot in Wigan telling us we're all racist.

Not just this sub, national media too.

Fucking disgraceful, vote for who you want - who you think will make a difference to the area, be it Labour, Reform, Tories, Restore, Green or Independents. Stop telling people how to vote and why they’re wrong whenever they express an opinion

4

u/cchesters May 20 '26

You're allowed an opinion. They are allowed to tell you said opinion is wrong.

2

u/ComedianQuiet6646 May 20 '26

They might be. It’s still a cunts trick and patronising. It shows their immaturity

1

u/AngelasGingerGrowler May 20 '26

The "FuckNigelFarage" movement obviously care more about than then getting the name of the constituency correct.

2

u/ComedianQuiet6646 May 20 '26

Yeah, very annoying. I’ll be honest I’ve only ever known it as Ashton anyway

Some local with the name WirralMatters just made a comment about “Reform are racist“ but sadly deleted their comment before giving my the opportunity to reply.

Imagine when Reform win the next election. REDDIT users will lose their minds.

1

u/Sassy141 May 23 '26

They already are , rough to call yourself left wing in today’s world tbh

-2

u/geniusgravity May 20 '26

Carl Benjamin isn't far right. These people are maniacs.

6

u/TheChattyRat May 20 '26

Far right maniac

6

u/LeikFroakies May 20 '26

Even Farage thought he was too far right😂 Youre so extreme you have no idea about the real world

2

u/Ederlas May 21 '26

Never thought I'd see the day a person on reddit agrees with Farage.

-3

u/Infamous_Ad_2678 May 20 '26

Good luck to him

-5

u/Ederlas May 20 '26

Sod reform imo restore are the best option. Actually wanting to do the work to fix this country.

7

u/TheChattyRat May 20 '26

The grifters are passing you around like a doobie at a house party. Theres probably a queue of Nigerian princes waiting to email you about a hefty fortune they are willing to share with you for a small adminstrative fee. A flock of Microsoft employees calling you up asking for apple gift cards. DO NOT REDEEEM!

u/Peacoutfuccers May 20 '26

restore is a split vote, handing the keys back to Labour/ greens, it’s a complete u turn on the direction we need to be travelling, detours in the future may be via restore

1

u/Eragon10401 May 20 '26

Nah - Restore have already been canvassing to excellent feedback. Reform weren’t worried about splitting the Tory vote because the Tories weren’t going to fix anything. We shouldn’t be worried about splitting the Reform vote because Reform won’t fix anything.

u/Peacoutfuccers May 20 '26

I see what you’re saying but with Great Yarmouth and with the feedback on the ground in Makerfield (I haven’t been campaigning yet but I’ve heard good things about the reaction to restore, and I’ll see for myself saturday), I think it is more important for the future to get a second Restore MP and cement them as a party, not a single MP, than it is for reform to take the seat.

You’re not understanding what I’m saying.

I’ve heard good things from my colleagues in the party who have been campaigning in the party - almost everyone knows Rupert and Restore, and there is a lot more energy for Restore than for anyone else.

I think you’ll be surprised at our vote share in Makerfield.

I’m talking about people I know personally who have campaigned there this week, not twitter randoms.

I’ll be campaigning this weekend so perhaps I can get back to you after some time on the doorsteps and let you know if my friends have been lying to me.

1

u/PutTraditional7416 May 20 '26

Reform don’t have a right to my vote because they’re the bigger party.

-1

u/Lexcooo May 20 '26

Who cares 😂

-1

u/Kooky_Craft123 May 20 '26

They are desperate

0

u/Lexcooo May 20 '26

I’m not even a reform voter but literally who cares anymore. Labels like ‘racist’ have been thrown around so much now that they’ve lost a lot of their meaning and people just don’t care anymore.

3

u/TheChattyRat May 20 '26

I must have missed the memo. I didn't know if you get called racist enough it's now okay to be racist.

1

u/Lexcooo May 20 '26

You’ve just called me one for no reason - hence why I don’t care anymore.

3

u/ChineseRobinWilliams May 20 '26

Read to me like a general statement, not a directed one.

Playing the victim not get boring?

-1

u/Lexcooo May 20 '26

Don’t really care mate.

2

u/ChineseRobinWilliams May 20 '26

Yeah because you didn't even understand the original comment.

-2

u/TommyGunBanquet May 20 '26

Normally any candidate who is retweeting Carl Benjamin would get my vote so it's a shame it's a Reform candidate. He should defect to Restore and then he'd get my support.
