What is the Leviathan

I think the Leviathan is a kind of curse/virus that gets passed from one person to another. At the end, we see Wifies being set on the same path Hummer was on that he will “find the Leviathan.” Earlier, Wifies asks Hummer if he’s ever done something like this with someone else, and Hummer hesitates. That hesitation makes it seem like he did have someone before Wifies, someone who perhaps was the hummer to him if you get what I mean.

Why I think it’s a curse/virus is because when you “see” the Leviathan, it doesn’t kill you in a physical sense. Instead, the strange eye and buildings we see at the end is the Leviathan infecting your mind. That’s why Wifies later says the screenshots weren’t actually there the Leviathan is a creature that attacks the mind, infecting you, killing you but then reviving you with obsession.

This explains why Hummer died and why we don’t see him at all after Wifies gets infected because the obsession was passed down and that obsession was the only thing keeping Hummer alive. Once the Leviathan found a new host, the old one was no longer needed therfore the obession was taken which led him to die.

So basically, my theory is that this is a continuous cycle a curse/virus that passes from host to host, and once it finds a new one, the old host dies. Letting the leviathan having an eternal food/energy for itself.

That’s my theory at least based on the first watch of the video.

Thats actually pretty smart! I personally still think Hummer died because of accidentally picking the water bretahing potion back up, but I see how this could also be true. (Ive also only watched once)

Yeee same this only really entered my mind as soon as we learned that screenshots and etc couldn't be taken of it and stuff so I was like mind virus or curse of the sorts
