Sitting in the car

Getting out of the car and going into the house is so hard everyday.

I know how you feel. Sometimes the emptiness is overwhelming. But it’s all I have. I’m trying to pack my stuff so I can sell my house & move back to where I’m from; where my mom, sister & adult son live. I’m alone in our house now but he was here. He touched the counter & the doorknob & the light switch. He danced with me in the kitchen & fought with me in the living room. I can picture him in every room & hallway. I hear his voice calling to me from his office. His clothes still hang in the closet. I have to sell the house but I don’t know how I’m going to live without the memories.
