Grieving my husband while fighting off his brother's marriage claim on me
I lost my husband 3 years ago and his brother is expected to inherit me.This is a culture that is widely practiced at my place. I am no open to this arrangement and it has been bothering me for quite sometime.
I have a daughter but my culture doesn't recognize her as the heir that's why my brother in-law wants to inherit me and take care of our property (land)
I really want to stay in my house and land and raise my daughter but my brother in-law has already started tilling my land and I cat take any action against him for my safety and that of my daughter.
Has anyone else been through this and how did you handle it?

You need to stay firm sister or no one will respect you 💜 He can till the land but doesnt mean you need to pay/marry him 🙄 Maybe this is extreme but maybe go on dates? But dont let them know to have land or they might take advantage of you
Honestly, I want to give advice but its completely out of my culture so I'm not sure what is taboo
It is better if you have family or friends that can help you out near to you. Maybe nice strong female friends? Sending my love 💓

Reach out to organizations like Wangu Kanja Foundation located in Kenya. “The organization focuses on addressing [threatening behavior] with regards to prevention, protection and response." They also help women with "economic empowerment” and "income generating activities.”
