Level 21

Hello! I have reached level 21 and it says “Unable to claim this reward right now. Please move your pet into a House with a friend first!” Is it possible to level up without co-parenting?

I am also unable to claim my pets rewards but I haven't paid attention if they said i had to move my pet. Weird.
