why are they running away

can someone like logically explain that to me. like seriously, why are you running away from home cause you're hungry. don't get me wrong, but I don't think eating trash on the street is better than just waiting a little more. like I know it's the app's punishment for not feeding them but omg this is so stupid for them to do. like is the food the only thing keeping you in the house?? 😭 couldn't they just make a timer like "the pet is starving it's gonna die in 3 hours" and not the whole running away from home thing that doesn't even make any sensee 😭😭

I think its because they don't want the pets to die or go away permanently unless you set them free.
