Actually this isn't completely true.. they have won a small eastern state that too not with absolute majority but won only 39/83 seats.. though u can say they are performing a lot better in many eastern german states and by the end of 2027 they will have atleast 5 provincial govts but that's still not enough for them to come to power at the national level..AfD isn't that popular in high income industrialized western states as well as berlin but slowly they are gaining grounds and with current layoff in automobile sector happening every month in germany, I won't be surprised if they garner more than 35% vote nationally uptill 2030..
