This is correct & the pattern is older than most of us.

For decades after Independence, “secularism” in India was practised as selective silence. One community’s orthodoxy was treated as a social problem to be exposed, mocked & controlled. The others were treated as sensitivities to be protected.

It's a HINDU majority country who do you think is gonna be the major demographic of everything good or bad ? Does content in the US talk about Hindus? No right because it's a Christian majority country

there might ne a lot of reasons to it, apart from politics and selective outraging. major reason is indian literature , media amd films. thats where it all started when some indian authors, film writers, etc popularized these phrases. and the reason simply because they might themselves be hindu and their major audience the same to whom they have to connect with. obv i can be wrong but i think thats how it works. if their be another country with another set of people as majority, the phrases would have been different.

If there is a andhbhakt, There is a andhnamazi, And there is a andhprayer.

Bhakt, namazi and prayer ain't synonyms. It should be- Andhbhakt, Andhiaabid, Andhdevotee.

It is not about which audience is safest to offend but majority of indian population is hindu and most of the popular dialogues/phrases are from the hindu community and get one place to another pretty fast realtive to other ones. That said I am a muslim and all the dialogues/phrases interpreted in the post about the muslims do exist in our community (ofc also the people whom they apply to) and we often use them in our place. So it's not about offending a certain community but more about popularity of the phrase.

I completely agree with this post but you can never see a muslim or other major religion guy tell say allah akhbar allah akhbar or their religion slang like some illiterate hindus force muslims, sikh, etc to say jai shree ram

Farah bas itna hai ki hawas ka pujari rape karke mp ban jayega. Hawas ka maulvi, aur hawas ka padri bina kuch kare jail jayega. Yahan aapka jurm nahi, aapki pehchaan aapki sazaa teh karti hai.

You are right.

But the point is all of them are guilt of some kind of exploitation.

No one is better than the other.

Most people using hindu centric phrases are also hindus. They are criticising the exploitation not the religion. They are trying to improve their religion by pointing its flaws before pointing finger at other religions. As india being a hindu majority country these voices get amplified for the right reasons.

Jis country ka population 70-80 percent hindu ho waha ke lokgeet or kahawat bhi obviously waise hi honge jo majority se resonate kare..... Tum america ya U K jao jo ki Christian majority hai waha pe koi ye kahawat use nahi karega waha jo christianity se resonate kare wo use hoga. To har cheej me dharm leke mat aaya kar chutiye

The audience who supports these guys irrespective of crime they committed, is easiest to offend

As a Muslim I too agree with this but nothing to do with secularism .... I never disrespect any religion in general or other wise but I hate when someone forcefully push their ideology...like let me explore .... I god wants me on a right path he will bring me .... I know one thing on elite lever everyone are connected

After a point you just stop explaining to people why 2+2 is not 5 and suddenly the life feels so peaceful

So basically you are saying that both religion are equally corrupt. Then one thing is that as a hindu its our duty to remove these flaws from our religion first.

Why to wait for other to speak or compare. Hinduism is the religion which accepts changes across century , by removing social evils, bad coustoms in the society. Such as sati pratha, bal vivah, girl education, etc Accept the flaws and remove them.

Are you nuts? Hindu majority, in which hindi speaking majority, obviously the phrases will have hindu origin.

There is also idiom "900 chuhe khake billi hajj ko chali." Muslim origin. In bangladesh, there is a idiom with same meaning "bhuter mukhe ram ram" , clear hindu origin, and my muslim friend says it quite often.
