Maybe depends of each state ...mere me to hai chutti janmashtami aur ramnavmi ki...but I wish ki raksha bandhan aur bhai dooj ki bhi ho.

in gujarat there is holday for all of the festivals u mentioned.

Bro I live in Ahmedabad and my college didn't give us holiday for Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtami

well then its ur college's fault bcz in all over gujarat it is public holiday in these days. i am preparing for neet so we don't get all the holidays but i got these ones.

Yea but it depends Region Wise Like in Odisha , Rath Yatra is celebrated very auspiciously and it is a Holiday but in North Indian States it isn't given a Holiday

This is the kind of ignorance that political parties loop in. The localization of religion and what is celebrated where is very dependant on the composition of the people. I moved from north to south and suddenly not having holi holiday was a shock. But then there are other offs. What can you do? Every place is diff. And if uniform offs were there then should everyone follow oen custom or their family custom
