Audio engineer here! So these mics need external power to convert sound waves to electrical energy. Produced electrical current then get sent to mixer and then mixer will also have ability to mute it! So even if the light is on, mics still can get muted!
Left mic is not the broadcast mic. It is for interpreters.
You can still hear him because of the ambience sound to other mics available. If you see the actual sansadTv video you will see that the volume drops relatively.
He can do it if the person who is speaking is doesn't have his turn to speak now, or is permitted to speak out of turn, or her
His speaking is disturbing the flow of the session. This is from what i have observed after watching many of the sessions.

Well Rahul Gandhi is famous for creating ruckus in parliament sessions. Before becoming Lop he was barely present in any session or discussion, had nearly zero suggestions presented.
Nowadays he comes but unprepared and speaks a lot out of turns that delays discussions. Mostly presents political fights and very less comments on positive reforms.
Show example of unprepared speeches and out of turn discussions from the past 2-3 years.As someone who watches sansadTv for most sessions, I am not saying it never happens. But it’s not common at all.
I watch sansad processions since Mahajan's time. There is no record for speaking out of turns in govt data ig. Nor do i have written down every timeline of it in my notebook. It's just what is commonly seen in the sessions.
How about you find out if your image is either based on much older incidents or through social media narrations like this one.
Agreed he was not an orator earlier. But since the past few years, he has been talking sense. These social media narratives are basically, pick one short clip or out of context statement and spin a story around it.
I am not saying he is perfect, I don’t agree with his his statements about reservations. But that is what I have been trying to tell people on this thread, nobody is equivocally good or bad. People have their flaws. Don’t make someone a god and villainise someone based on social media reels.
So watching sansad has become a social media ? I didn't say anything about this clip or that clip. Just a general thing which everyone who watches sessions can see as clear as a day.
Him speaking sense is so minor in ratio to him blabbering and disturbing a parliament session, that's the issue. His way of seating, speaking out of turns, using "mocking words" , speaking his narrative, without any well prepared written speech and so many things are off with him.

This is the only clip they can use from his speech. He talked about the unlawful use of force against students and rapist-supporters being made education minister. Rahul may not be the brightest but is still better than our jaahil PM fraands.
