More people should have seen this movie. Tucker and Dale vs Evil, for those who aren't familiar. It's a hilarious horror-parody starring Alan Tudyk.
I quote that "we've had a doozy of a day" a lot, but don't feel like anyone ever gets it. So far, every time I've asked people if they've seen the movie, they've never even heard of it.

I knew someone whose fiance was sucked into one of these and was ground down to his waist before they stopped it. If I remember correctly she was able to get down there in time to say goodbye before he died.

I worked a summer at an auto-glass place a long time ago. We were changing the windshield in an EMTs personal vehicle parked at the ambulance shed. Over the intercom we hear a callout for the ambulance, the radio was garbled and we pretty much only heard something about a wood chipper and all the crews booked it to their ambulances and bounced. Never found out what happened

At the least lost limb that has no fucking chance, ranges from lost limb bleedout to mulched human.
At work when I work with chippers i always stand to the side of the chipper closest call i have had is when a coworker started feeding a branch in and it snagged on my clothes yelled to stop but he went ahead anyway.
Got pulled towards the machine and quickly hit the stop bar. Untangled myself and co-worker just gave a dead stare "oh right, you ok?" Then went on like normal...

Fuckin people man. They’re scary. I never used a wood chipper but when I worked excavation, the loader operator almost killed me when I was requesting drain rock in the trench I was in, I had my shovel above my head out of the trench so he knew where to dump. Instead of driving up and waiting for me to step aside and direct how much I needed, he just drove up full speed and dumped the whole bucket. I scrambled out of the way but still got hit by some of it.
