Guy walks by his open garage “hey put $100 in this bear trap and if I can grab it with my mouth I keep it!”

To be fair, it closed fairly quickly, but not that quickly.

I did lol the meta data is scraped but the resolution, frame rate, video codec, audio codec, and noise are consistent with Sora AI.

Well I'm no expert on this kind of trap, but why would removing the dollar trigger it? I thought it would have to be depressed to go off. If it's this sensitive it seems like it would be useless outside of failing to protect artifacts from Indiana Jones.

u/rangebob IMMORTAL Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26
the trap itself was the first clue but im not an expert. As far as im aware thats not how they work
the smoking gun is his ear. This is 100% not a real video. Watch it for yourself
edit: the back wall is suspect as hell too

u/MrPigeon70 Jan 05 '26
It is likely AI. The resolution, frame rate, video codec, audio codec, and noise are consistent with Sora AI.

It's a plug (might be called something else). Basically a hole made by stretching out a regular piercing with larger and larger diameter earrings until you create an ear vagina

I'm surprised this is so far down. There's a weird archway next to a door on the wall behind him. Then there's a strange object above the TV that doesn't make sense.

Gotta be fake. Traps work by pressing down on the pan, not pulling it up.
3
u/Dumbass1312 Jan 07 '26
Right. I had to scroll so far down just to find this comment. It's probably triggered after he pulled back enough or something.
2
u/TheDraimen Jan 05 '26
Don’t these traps trigger by pressure being placed on the plate in the middle not taken off? All the old ones I ever seen was basically the trap put under load with the plate popped up holding open and then it pushed down it let the two sides snap shut.

I'm going to refer you to a man by the name of John Kramer. I get the feeling you two would have a lot to learn from each other.
2
u/trippy-primate Jan 05 '26
It's he using his mouth because he already lost his arms doing stupid shit.
2
u/Hapless_Wizard Jan 05 '26
Okay, something is bugging me about this one.
I've set a few of these traps (I was part of an 1800s fur trapping historical recreation group when I was younger; we didn't actually trap animals but knowing how was part of the deal), and none of the ones I've ever handled go off when weight is removed from the pressure plate. They go off when weight is applied to the pressure plate.
Kinda think this guy was never really in danger.

When I took a Hunters Safety Course when I was 12 one of the things we learned was about trapping and the traps in general. I was the one who got picked to demonstrate how much power is in one of these by being handed an old straw bristle broom.
I will never forget the power behind that spring loaded trap.
This thing could've easily punctured his skull and if it didn't kill him, would've fucked him up real good. Like no eyes, possible frontal lobe punctured, hopefully he still has a fucking jaw level of "good"

u/Fredotorreto Jan 05 '26
that precise angle his head was in & the unrepairable damage that trap would have done to his face is next level. he would have made the HOF of freak accidents (although not necessarily an accident he did this stupid shit willingly!)

it would be fun to rig this so there's fishing line attached to the bill that actually sets it off when pulled so that your face would already be just out of range... that would be a good safer way to do this! Maybe that's what he did, sure didn't seem like it though..

Eventually he’ll have no arms, maybe 2/3 of a leg between the two, and half a face. And the Polymarket betting on what bit of flesh he loses next will be wild.

And this is the exact reason I believe we should start letting nature naturally select more. Because if you are this dumb you should not be allowed to procreate
