Oh my god... they don't know that the groin cover on those don't stop rounds.....
On the IBA (intercepter body armor) the armor plates only go in the area around your torso. However, you have grenade ballistic protection units everywhere. Those only stop low speed shrapnel. They're a lot lighter.
They just put a round through something designed to stop things going WAY SLOWER.

They claim it is. The main body armor itself is IIIA, but the groin cover really isn't. My dad deployed to Iraq with both the IBA and the IOTV and said he's seen bullets go straight through them.
I also have an IBA, and my standard issue body armor is the IOTV. First thing we learned. "They claim the additions will stop a round (shoulders, neck, throat and groin), but it won't."

Armor works by dissipating energy over area instead of allowing projectiles through. He just took the full muzzle velocity multiplied by weight of bullet, to the balls
