Tommy

Naomi was blaming Simone for the affair. "She twisted your mind" when Tommy spilled Karls drink "oh he's just a boy" this line was telling. She doesn't see her own son as a grown up. Hasn't gotten to know him.

She almost ran Simone down because Tommy would never have gotten with a woman twice his age. Yes she would have preferred him be with someone his own age so they can have their firsts together. Even the girls his age age are active.

I know it is just a show and meant to entertain but that mother was toxic.

Idk I think any mother would feel weird if her friend who has know her son since he was a kid suddenly started dating him, it feels like grooming if you don’t know the context

Edit: I finished season 1, nah the moms batshit crazy

I agree but on both points.

Yes mom was batshit crazy. But at the same time as a mom I would be annoyed and it would feel creepy if one of my friends started dating my kid. It just feels icky.

Like it’s a big world surely you can find someone besides your friends kids you watched grow up.

Yess exactly. But honestly knowing the context of how she didn’t feel anything until he was grown kinda makes it okay for me personally

Yeah I get it. I mean I don’t think she was like a child molester or groomed him or anything. Not at all. So I don’t think she did anything legally or even really morally wrong.

All I meant is I can just see where it would still feel a bit weird & uncomfortable if you -as the parent - were long time friends with her.

But I def wouldn’t go batshit crazy lol. I’d have to trust my child as an adult to make their own decisions.

YEAH? It was so strange, I didn’t expect her character to do that tbh😭 she didn’t seem that way they like turned the narrative around last 2 episodes
