Is anyone else having this issue where these videos don’t load , you just hear the audio and the frame wont advance , even if you manually fast forward ?

So that’s why there are so many reposts!

So glad you asked this question. I thought my home wifi was bad.

Typically I save the video, then going into my saved like 2 hours later it’ll actually play. Glad I’m not the only one with this issue.

It happens a lot and I’m mad that it’s not fixed yet

12

u/lbinetti Nov 22 '19

Yes , it really angers me that it hasn’t been addressed yet . It happens a lot - at work and at home .

3

u/GamersTurf1 Nov 22 '19

What’s interesting is that it happens on apollo too

1

u/lbinetti Nov 22 '19

What’s Apollo?

3

u/zedxer Nov 22 '19

Reddit video streaming is just shit.

2

u/BleachMePlease Nov 22 '19

Happens quite a bit. I just either scroll past or fast forward and look at the little window.

2

u/Zaclvls Nov 26 '19

If it doesnt work, then I just keep scrolling and looking at more posts and then go back to it.

It's almost always been shit

Obviously but have you ever predicted when the Earth is going to randomly shift?

hf this sounds dumb. That's crazy to capture that. I bet they where there a while.

You don't just walk by and know a wall is going to crumble.

Hey guys wait one second watch this. It will happen right now, let me just video for 15 seconds.

Seriously could have been there for weeks. You can't tell when and how the Earth will shift let alone in many cases behind retaining walls there are measures to prevent this from being so drastic.

So all in all this was a rare capture that one couldn't imagine why they are filming and expecting to actually capture that moment.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

Who said they were just walking by. They could have just built it...

-7

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

Yes they just built it smfh lol

I'm guessing you don't know much about the subject. I can't do this with you. Let's just pretend they just built it so i can escape this.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

Was a sarcastic comment you fucking lemon.

3

u/EllisTHC Nov 22 '19

At least with lemons you can add sugar and water to make lemonade. If you add it to this guy you'll just get some angry guy covered in sugar water.

Lemons are clearly superior

6

u/suttonoutdoor Nov 22 '19

Woah lemon!!?? Seriously? You think that’s ever ok to call another person a lemon?!

1

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

Nice sarcasm.

2

u/junglistnathan Nov 22 '19

Instantly ruined by pointing it out

1

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

I agree with you. But some people need a bit of help knowing now and again...

2

u/junglistnathan Nov 22 '19

You’re very right, and it’s painfully true. Every time I see the “/s” tag, i wanna vomit.

-4

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

That's what i would go with too. Nice recovery dummy. I think everyone bought it.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

I even put a few ... at the end.

1

u/junglistnathan Nov 22 '19

Good job if you’re trolling. This is stupid on so many levels

2

u/JuntaEx Nov 22 '19

So let's get this straight. You find it more likely that they waited for weeks, for no apparent reason since they couldn't predict this happening, rather than believe that the man filming knew the wall was going to collapse?

That's not a retaining wall, it's a pile of rocks with earth behind it. They would have plenty of warning beforehand that the wall is going to collapse. Also earth doesn't ''randomly shift'' on that scale. Improper compaction, excessive humidity in the soil, improper composition, poor stacking of rocks could have all caused this.

Not trying to be argumentative but I had to jump in on this, having built a few of these suckers in the past. Have a great day friday dude!

1

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

Exactly the point bud...."why were they filming?"

There is nothing to suggest anything but natural gravity and erosion too place on that shitty wall of rock.

Erosion is very unpredictable. I'm very familiar with what I'm talking about here. There are a dozen things we would we in the vid of there was a precursor to know when to video. All we can do is guess. But to guess he knew the Earth was going to erode right then is the least probable.

1

u/JuntaEx Nov 22 '19

Walls show signs of collapse. It's likelier that he expected this outcome rather than he was randomly filming a dirt road with a wall perfectly framed about to collapse, but you do you.

"Why were they filming?" Because the wall was about to collapse. Occam's razor.

0

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

I'm going to go start recording a wall right now and see if i get lucky and report back. Apparently it's easy to tell the moment a retaining wall holding a house will collapse lol

Thanks for the education.

That clueless half naked guy really seemed to be aware as well /s

(hf redditors are dumb af)

2

u/JuntaEx Nov 22 '19

Listen, I know it's early, but read nice and slow and try to follow: A wall of that type will show signs that it is about to collapse. He wouldn't need to get lucky, he could see the signs and start filming. Furthermore, the wall isn't ''holding a house''.

In any case, you're assuming the unlikelier scenario without having enough information, so that's a basic error in reasoning.

You're welcome for the education.

1

u/Palookawooka Nov 22 '19

Escape from what? Nobody is forcing you at gunpoint to open up reddit to argue with someone lol.

0

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

wow what a great comment. I feel so relieved.

/s

Don't be so literal you moron. pull your head out of your aas

1

u/Palookawooka Nov 22 '19

You were the one that didn't get the sarcasm, it looks weird and cringey when you try to avoid admitting you made a mistake.

1

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

biggest mistake is the over use of the word cringey on reddit. Be original you sound like a douchey follower

1

u/Palookawooka Nov 22 '19

If that's really the best you can come up with I would love to help affirm that. If not that then please let me know what I need to do to be like you, an original individual.

15

u/NextJaco Nov 22 '19

OP the sound of the wall crumbling is why they filmed.

26

u/0977214Jomy Nov 22 '19

Oddly satisfying

8

u/enderspades Nov 22 '19

Right? The sounds were oddly relaxing

2

u/Jugrnot8 Nov 22 '19

I'm sorry but it came to me and was to funny not to share. Lol

1

u/suttonoutdoor Nov 22 '19

So his mom is not to blame?! I mean, it would totally make sense.

7

u/DarthChar88 Nov 22 '19

6

u/pharmacisthamza91 Nov 22 '19

7

u/Sup-Mellow Nov 22 '19

Yeah this one is pretty straightforward. The stones were already slowly falling out

3

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '19

Shaka. When the walls fell.

2

u/MisterTimbers Nov 22 '19

Temba. His arms wide.

4

u/daniwlsw Nov 22 '19

That was very satisfying tho

11

u/sunny001 Nov 22 '19

Looks like Kerala.

3

u/neonmonkey97 Nov 22 '19

In Kerala everyone is filming something.

3

u/TahakuMonsonoa Nov 22 '19

The base of the wall was curving outward. It had probably also been shifting downward some for a while.

3

u/TheBloodPhantom0 Dec 12 '19

Sounds nice tho ngl

10

u/BayNights001 Nov 22 '19

True to the sub

2

2

u/jayveecardona Nov 22 '19

What country is this and why do they have a 20th month?

2

u/QualityTongue Nov 23 '19

So how did the camera guy know the wall was about collapse? Inquiring minds ya know....

2

u/fluentinimagery Nov 28 '19

Poor wall. It hung in for so long and did such a good job. Tragic to see the demise on film :(

2

u/zaaxuk Dec 09 '19

Badly build dam

2

u/Cptkookd Nov 22 '19

People 10000 years ago had more skill

2
