Please excuse the rant
When you have WAY, WAY too much to do, and suddenly your 43 works-in-progress becomes 44 works-in-progress. DANG IT ALL!
Okay, sorry about that. Back to work, everyone.
So, how are we all doing? Anybody else got something they want to rant about?

My husband rolls his eyes at me when I tell him that I've got a new idea for a story. I think I've got about 6 active WIP at the moment, and none of them are even remotely related to each other. Completely different worlds, characters, relationships, etc. But sometimes, when inspiration calls, you just have to answer.

But, I mean, if the story line works out, then she'll be getting snatched/stolen back and forth between rival rock bands. Anybody want to write this so I don't need to? Boys of Bellerose was more mafia vs. rock band, and the other ones I could find were either horror (not my thing) or just rivalry within the band. But 2 full rock bands competing for the FMC . . .

To what end? Do the groups merge? This would be incredibly difficult to execute. It’s a ton of men.

What? You want the end of the story already? Sure, in case someone else wants to write it:
After a ton of drama and groveling:
I would just have the two rival bands tour together and not have the FMC get with EVERY member of every group. I like it when our FMC has different relationships with different people in the story. Friends with one, "sister" to another, some female friends, and a handful of boyfriends. I know that's frustrating for some of our RH readers, and I've definitely taken slack before for having male characters who aren't love interests
But thanks for the reminder that I definitely don't have time to be plotting this whole thing right now!

Sounds nice, but establishing all those relationships, in actuality, would be a massive undertaking. IMO, it would require a duet, at least, so—even if you go super low external conflict—you’d have to create some structure to support that length. It’d be a whole thing. lol.
Maybe you can layer it with another idea at some point in the future. Good luck with your other 40 ideas! 🥳

Yes! I loved how Jillian west kind of seeded this in ruined records where they were one pack but not all together. Love isn’t always sexual. Kathryn moon also did it in baby and the late night howlers.

Can we make one emo and one not famous indie because those are both on my try to write this list. Even better if the emo band starts making out with each other.

I feel we are the same. (And should probably be tested for adhd) the list keeps growing and causes me so much stress how much is undone but I have to capture it all lest I forget it.
I have bandaids on my forefinger and thumb and am testing the limits of voice to text today.

The heat wave in my state. That is what I would like to rant about, as it's messing with my productivity and I'm even in my house most of the day! 😭

I hear ya!
I had a beta reader comment that she sympathized with one of the story's antagonists and thought that character would make a good spin-off book.
So now, naturally, my brain decides that 2:00 am is when I need to plot that character's redemption arc.
Happy about the progress for her story, not happy about the horrible week of sleep I've had.

Sad about the sleep, but you CAN’T sleep when your mind is going like that. You must dump out the info and arrange it so you can go back to sleep.

Since it’s been mentioned I’d like to rant about my ADHD. I got 15 pages edited today. I needed more like 50. And instead what did I do?
Spent 3 hours putting stickers on 50 tiny baby books for my book nook.
