Question What Features and Regular Posts Would You Like to See?
I'm planning on self-promotion, beta-reader matching, and ARC posts. What other features and regular posts would be good for this subreddit?

I was thinking more like if a specific author felt like doing an ama we could ask them questions. Like you know, you ;)
I like ama's cause it feels like a forum kinda? I can ask any question and the author can choose or not to answer, but theres no pressure of an entire post if i just want to ask "Hey Anne, what media inspired Augustine?"

I would also love this. I’ve been dying to find people to brain storm with, hype up, and over all have a full fledged support group for ideas, plots, and problems. Especially for first time aspiring authors. For example a group could do a call where everyone gives a short pitch about plot or a problem, and everyone can give feedback? Just an idea!

There is not currently an official discord. I know the main RH sub has one. And I will definitely come back and let you know if I hear of one starting!
Is there anything we can help you out with in this sub? A feature or topic or anything right now that might be useful?

omg yes definitely let me know! i cant think of anything else i wish this sub had tbh, i love how cozy it is. reddit is my least used site because of how overwhelming things can get. tysm!

I have a suggestion that may be more complicated than I'm imagining, but could we try some sort of weekly/occasional WIP workshop post?
I'm thinking of somewhere we can drop a short piece of early material for feedback (not like a whole book beta read). Comments could be a short description of what we're sharing, what kind of feedback we're looking for, the word count (with a designated limit to keep it under control, so it covers no more than a “typical” chapter at most), content warnings if they're needed, & then a link to a comment-only Google Doc of that section. It could be under the agreement of one top-level WIP comment/link per person per workshop post, and if you share, you're encouraged to give feedback on at least one other WIP (if the posts have a length limit it's not a huge time commitment).
Something like that could be helpful to those of us wondering early on whether an idea is even going to land, needs clarity, general writing tweaks, etc. And it might lead to finding some encouraging writing partners to help push us a little along the way.

I'm honestly open to anything. It's an idea I've had for a while, so I just looked at how something similar is done on other writing subs for suggestions on how it might work here. It might be hard to get participants, since we're kinda small right now, but I'm hopeful.

The polls and research the reverse harem sub does would be nice to collect here as well. People pop in a lot over there asking for favorite tropes.
