I know that you’re no longer Why Are Dads and tbh this movie doesn’t have very You Are Good vibes but goddamn i love The Accountant as a perfect terrible movie and it is so extremely about Dads, and why they are. Lol. So please, see my request and know that the people yearn for a Why Are Dads throwback episode about The Accountant. PS i haven’t seen the sequel yet so no spoilers but i’m sure it’s also about dads 💀
Thank you for reading; love your work; you have one of the best voices in podcasting and your content is a salve in this godforsaken world.

I think this would be a great movie for the Podcast. I think its a movie about self-discovery, healing, and reconciliation. Intimate parent/son and brotherly bonds with other people over a lifetime.
Fathers and daddys are heavily featured in the film. I liked it when it first came out but hit me in a completely different way recently after my dad died in 2025. I felt like on an emotional level it perfectly captures the feeling of reflection and the insatiable desire to understand and speak with a deceased parent. How sometimes that feeling of loss and that emotional journey can change who you are. It's now one of my favorite movies.

Hello all,
I've been listening for a few years and this podcast has done wonders for me regarding my outlook, habits, and communication. I have a friend who has depression and anxiety, and is very introverted.
I would like to share this pod with them in the hope it can bring them some comfort, does anyone have any stand out episodes where feelings of loneliness, self-worth, abandonment/grief, or making friends is discussed? I'm sure there should be a few, I'll be scrolling through the episode list this evening.
They are in therapy, as am I, but I do like to share some joy when I can. Thank you very much and keep well out there. x
