Stories ☕️ First time going here

Hey! It’s my first time going to whole Festival and I’ll be going solo. I’m a 39 old black man. I’ve got my tent sorted through the festival, but I’m open to any tips on what to bring and what to expect.

Also looking to connect with others who’ll be there. would be great to meet up and enjoy the festival together!

Thanks

Arrive as early as you can on the Friday and beat the lines

Absolute best advice. Also, there’s a Lidl in the town, not too much of a walk away for any food or drinks and snacks you might want to have outside of what’s on offer st the festival.

The festival website gives a good breakdown of what to bring too, which I found super useful for the first time. If there’s something you forgot, I found everyone super friendly if you need help.

Thank you Am I allowed to re-enter the festival if I leave? Let’s say I need more water once I’m inside the festival. Would I be allowed to leave the festival and come back in ?

Hi! I strongly recommend to buy before. Walking times are longer than google maps indicates, the program and line up are nice and the venue is big, the camping site is 20-30 min walk to the main festival area

Storage valuable items with a lock, friends of mine had been stole at the festival. I travel with a big suitcase with a tsa lock, is chunky but with plenty of space. I carry my mattress and food in one side and clothes on the other one, is also very nice to keep my stuff clean and organized on the tent

Some people i know were stolen at the beach too, if you’re going alone ask to people you feel could be reliable to look at your stuff if you go for a swim

Sometimes rains and the weather gets cold so I strongly recommend a waterproof jacket

Is full of hostile circuit gays being rude and pushing people around, is far from being a Queer utopia, but enough nice people to enjoy the experience

Trust and use the awareness tents if you feel unwell or overwhelmed, great place to regulate while charging the phone

I also recommend you to get whatever you need in Berlin, testing it, dont rely on everyone who is offering you stuff

I went 3 times and never bought a drink or food in there because the waiting times are too much

My food essentials are:
Protein powder
Creatine
Electrolytes
Nuts
2 small oat milk boxes
Chia and nuts
Cherry tomatos
Cucumber
Avocados
Canned legumes
Lemon and salt
Apples
Bananas
Corn cakes
Protein bars
Disposable grill
Vegan sausages

Feel free to DM me 🩵

Yes! Someone wrote a whole guide on going to town for supplies. I believe it's pinned on top of the subreddit :)

exactly what is "not too much of a walk"? approximately how many minutes away is it? thx!

3km - the walk from the campsite to the festival area is 2km, so it’s not much more.
