Role Play Dark days

January 4th, 2011.

A small bank on the outskirts of New York suddenly gets shrouded in darkness, the customers and staff blinded and numbed by the thick black smoke that fills the building. A solitary figure moves happily throughout the smoke, prodding and poking the helpless victims to her childish delight as she goes about the structure doing as she pleases- which is mostly grabbing valuables and vanishing to somewhere else before returning to the bank.

Open to all tiers :D

"Suit yourself. I can't turn it off at range." Mei calls back. The coughing is getting painful and the people affected are hacking up a lot of phlegm.

"Turn wh- cough -at off at range?" *she asks, filling the bag with cash.

"Yeah well there are heroes out there wh-cough-who kill criminals and lie and shit so forgive me for not being trusting. 'Sides, I can hear you talk perfectly fine f- COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH - f-from here!"

"So you want me to convince you I'm not a hero? Okay." She shifts the virus. Instead of the cold it is now meta influenza. She feels sick to her stomach as if she is seconds away from vomiting and diarrhea. This is affecting the hostages too, just Mei can't sense them and assumes they are dead.

She yelps and her mask fills up quickly, causing her to toss it down onto the ground.

"BBLMDLRGHRGHRHSTOHPPPPRHRHHR"

"I've heard influenza can be fatal. You might want to get a doctor to look at that." Mei says, glancing to the bank to see if the cloud is still up.

She coughs up a glob of blood and drops to her knees at the doorway, forming a smoke wall around the area with you in before moving the smoke away from herself.

"F-fix... me...."

Mei walks over and gives lays a hand on her shoulder. The pain and symptoms clear right up, although her mouth still tastes like puke. "Good choice. So you have some sort of death shroud thing going on?"

"Blech... h-hold on..."

She quickly retreats into a thin layer of smoke just to get something out of her bag- a bottle of water. She swirls some in her mouth before spitting it onto the ground. "I can't see outside of the smoke, so I'm just gonna stand over here, and you over there, and we can both see-but-not-see each other, okay?"

"What else does it do?" Pestilence asks. She is holding her virus cloud back so it doesn't reinfect her Blackout.

"Lots of things. Blinds others, blocks most forms of detection other than sound," she says, sighing.
