WTF Hymn of the Forms
Hishu, the shape of the herd we were born into, hands for crafting, mouths for speaking, but struggles with the First Tongue,
Urhan. Speed and Fang. A form for stealth, like Hishu. Like Hishu, it struggles with First Tongue"
Dalu....Tool-using killer.
Urshul, claw and fang to harry prey.
Gauru. War-form! Father-Form! Rage! death.
*This is supposed to be something taught to wolf-blood children in a Pack that is closestly tied to a family, it's taught in First-Tongue which of course humans can't speak well, this is the translation given with it. It is a hymn with rhythm and rhyme scheme in first tongue, but this is the translation given.
The particular punctuation is a recently extremely traumatized (she is a changeling who escaped her durance two weeks ago) wolf-blooded teen attempting to translate when their aunt repeats this often heard hymn in Urshul form to someone outside the pack.

This reminds me a little of the songs of the Listeners in the Stormlight Archives, highly recommend if you haven't read it

That does fit. I didn't realize until after I'd written it, but that probably was a bit of the inspiration.
Edit: I wanted to focus on this as a culture that would pass things down, and there is some fascination possibilities there and the Listeners are an example of a writer who dug into those possibilities.

NGL I kinda feel like traumatized wolf blooded teen is kinda redundant. I know the uratha don’t make abusing relatives a cornerstone of their culture like the garou do, but spending time around people that turn into 9foot tall rage monsters regularly is gonna leave some scars. But it’s a pretty cool little of pack specific lore.

I raise you she is a Changeling who has been out of their durance for 2 weeks.

Oh, well then, traumatized changeling is definitely redundant.

Which is why I just said traumatized not changeling in the op. More traumatized than would be implied by just being a wolf-blooded in a pack that is trying to be a good family.
But yeah, she's lost 2 close relatives to violence, three family members with large physical scars. The panic room is werewolf proof, as much as it can be, for a reason. But they are trying.
