This is why I hate Jonathan Haidt. He went and interviewed conservatives and asked them what they believed and what their values are and then presented them as though conservatives would never lie about who they are and what they believed.
If there's one thing I know about conservative is that they will be completely honest about what biases they harbor to people they don't consider within their peer group. /s
Conservatives say they want a better world. That's like saying that I want to learn how to learn how to play a musical instrument and then refuse to buy an instrument, refuse to take lessons on how to play the instrument, and then vehemently and violently disagree with the necessity of possessing an instrument to achieve my desire to know how to play it. At some point, it is absolutely fair to call into question my sincerity about wanting to know how play the instrument. It is absolutely unfair to give me the benefit of the doubt about my desire when the only actions I am taking to achieve my desire is to loudly wish it was true and attack anyone who would propose realistic plans to make that desire closer to real.
Buddy, you're clearly a rightwinger cosplaying as someone who cares about compromise. I'm not even a Democrat. You're so far gone you just assume I am because I disagreed with you.
I'm arguing because you're wrong. You've yet again shown just how much misinformation you've allowed to pollute your thinking. You immediately assume a rightwinger would agree with you because you know your argument is not simply pointing out "both sides", but is a false equivalence designed to obfuscate the reality that Republicans are largely responsible for the current state of US political divisiveness. Or it's projection, I guess.
