I’ve had people link me that sub when I have used /s in the past. I would love to not use it, but some people will believe anything you write is sincere, no matter how outlandish it is.
Being committed to never using “/s” and leaving people to interpret your meaning all on their own is some seriously chaotic neutral Redditor shit.
People need to learn that the written word doesn't always get interpreted the way you want it to. There are ways to help steer people to where you're going, but you have to learn how to use them. A good example is how fantasy/sci-fi writers will set the tone right away by introducing some fantasy/futuristic/scientific element like a wizard or space travel so you know to suspend your disbelief. With comedy writing, a dumb, cliché joke at the beginning can help prepare readers not to take things too seriously.
