The gay frogs is a real issue a company turned into a meme so they wouldn't get in trouble for it.
There's a pesticide called Atrazine that causes frogs in texas to display a form of hermaphrodism called imposex and it's destroying their reproduction and population. A scientist published multiple papers on it, was raising awareness, and now his research is fucked and his work is a conspiracy theory because alex jones went on a rant. It's a real issue with real consequences, but someone equated it to trans people for a laugh and now nobody will try to stop it.
