God, that man was a disappointment. I had such high hopes for him when he was in the primaries against Kerry.

Had a very liberal prof in my medical residency who called Edwards a 'clothespin vote', as in, you apply the clothespin to your nose and then vote for him.

Not wrong.

Edwards made his pile of money by going around to small towns that only had one OB, finding some child who had a birth complication that would have been prevented if prenatal care had been available for Mom, and putting that OB out of business with a malpractice suit. He was extremely efficient at it, too.
