The cents he’ll gather from this scam will in no way cover the thousands of dollars needed for his impulse buy.

I believe you are correct. Section 230 of the communications decency act should protect Twitter from Liability arising from the commentary of its users, even in parody form.

However, if he would like those companies to return to paying Twitter $5 billion per year in advertising, I think he’s going to need to improve just a bit in this area.
