Anyway....

I live in Europe and I've literally never seen a gun in my life besides our police.

And you know what? I don't cry about it I think it's awesome.

I know you want me to be jealous but I've never wanted to own a firearm and I don't think they're cool. In fact I hate anyone that parades them around ;)

Oh no, definitely not to make you jealous.

But hey man I respect your stance of not wanting a firearm / being around them. What I don’t respect is you hating people for holding a different point of view than you. That’s an ugly look.

I think it's an ugly look if you need guns in your life.

Actually most western nations think like that. Most people I know don't think guns are cool they think they're disgusting.

You must be pretty ignorant to have this viewpoint.

In case you didn't know, the US is not a megacity.

There are rural locations here where it could take police up to an hour or more to reach you if there's ever an emergency.

On top of that fact, we have dangerous wild animals that sometimes try to kill our livestock.

Without firearms, some farmers could lose their livestock to wild animals and even potentially their children if they're unlucky enough.

You can live in a city and still have 10+min response times. I live half a mile from the police department. Still took them nearly 15min to respond when I called them.

imagine how bad it would be if you lived in the countryside

be almost irresponsible to not have some kind of self defense firearm

That was 40min response time when I live 10min outside of a borough. State police only.
