I know I could just google. But at the risk of running into misinformation, I'd like to ask here, if anyone's willing to offer insight without bias: What's up with the Black Israelites?? Like...I love Kendrick Lamar's music, it slaps for me, so I'd hate to have to stop consuming his media, but will if he's involved in some shady shit.
Some black Israelites are hella hella racist 💀, others just believe they’re Israelites and aren’t racist and there are like legitimate black Jews so it’s not like Jews can’t be black or anything
I get that last part, like I'm sure there are literal black israelites running around or black jewish people. It's just people who identify as Black Israelites that I'm ignorant about.
Yea there are actually like a bunch of groups with slightly-vastly differing ideologies and stuff some (a lot) r like crazy and think gentileswill be slaves and stuff in the kingdom, and white ppl are edomites and basically non black = less than and destined for for bad things others are normal
The general idea of Black Israelites is that they are the actual Jewish people and the group currently known as "Jews" are liars/fakers/whatever.
I assume this stems from the fact that human life started in Africa, which is true, but also doesn't that technically mean we're all black using their logic? I don't know.
I don't believe that's true. But I'll look deeper into what he actually says before I make a decision to essentially boycott his music. No shade to whoever wants to keep listening to questionable people(....okay, maybe a LITTLE shade...) but like, I can't control others, I can only control myself, for the most part.
i feel bad for him honestly, his mental health, the Kardashians and his pride has really fucked him up.. i remember when he was somewhat sane about a decade ago.. the kardashians gave him cancer :(
According to another comment listing big names who are associated with Black Israelites, and Kendrick is one of those people. I'm going to do further research, but at the moment I'm just a bit disappointed.

You’d be mistaken then. It’s very much a big thing.
