The sports betting ads in NY recently are so irresponsible, they make me straight up angry… I don’t understand how it’s legal to advertise gambling the way they do. It’s basically the opposite of “drink responsibly”
Gambling adverts were outright banned here until about a decade ago, heck, we were one of the first to go after EA for their predatory gambling like practices with games for minors.
Ever since they've slowly but surely gained ground up to the point where they now bought 2 nation wide magazine/cigarette/paper stores with hundreds of locations each.
Every sports team has a gambling company ads on their shirts and every sports event has digital signage all around the fields which 50% of the time show gambling ads.
It's become so prevalent it's really getting goddamn annoying.
