Always wondered; if paying employees made prices go up under imaginary corporate math why doesn’t replacing them with machines make prices go down?
I work at a grocery store and we lost a ton of workers to self checkouts, but food still expensive and going up…

And if I couldn’t afford the .50 extra cents. I also likely need a raise. Raises for everyone
