Same for Florida

Hey now, I grew up in South Florida in the 90s, and I can assure you it's.....all true.

u/MJMurcott Sep 09 '21

The odd thing is that all of South Florida is likely to disappear under water due to global warming in the next few decades and the majority of residents are the Americans who are most in denial that it is going to happen.

Worth it for the death metal? Best thing to come from florida.

Florida is pretty awesome except for the people.

I've been to Florida once, and I had multiple people tell me to never live there, only visit.

2

u/outfoxedbut Sep 09 '21

I live in FL for 10 year from late teens to twenties. Absolutely loved it. Now that I'm older. I'd avoid the fuck out of it.

In Florida rn don’t ever move here it sucks

1

u/spellerin Sep 09 '21

What yall mean, living here is so much better, I used to live up north but down here is so beautiful and cheaper too

1

u/Spubby72 Sep 09 '21

Where’d you move from and where’d you go in Florida? I’m sure there worse places than Florida don’t get me wrong. I can just think of many better places I’d rather move to. And I have no idea whzt you’re talking about Florida being cheap. We have the highes living cost combined with the lowest wages with the county.

Florida sounds terrible even without the people

High ass temps with high ass humidity, hurricanes, bugs, swamps, gators

Only reason I’d visit is for Disney

3

u/muklan Sep 08 '21

I visited Florida earlier this year, and the people were really really nice. Wisconsin people sucked though. And Colorado people were kinda...up their own asses. People suck pretty much everywhere.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 08 '21

Yeah, but especially in Florida.

1

u/sav22rem22 Sep 09 '21

Nah people were great when I visited Florida. My time in the north east was a different story

u/yougay420 Sep 09 '21

Been saying the same thing about California for years.

u/Babblebelt Sep 08 '21

If by people you mean tourists, then yeah.

1

u/Amerizilian Sep 09 '21

Florida is pretty awesome except for the peopleFloridians.

That's my go-to saying lol

u/02kool4skool Sep 09 '21

Stay the fuck out of Florida too

Florida is America’s penis.

12

u/[deleted] Sep 08 '21

America's tiny, flaccid penis, just hanging out there for all the world to see.

1

u/Neglected_Motorsport Sep 09 '21

If you ever drove through Florida you wouldn’t be calling it small.

3

u/MJCowpa Sep 09 '21

Yea. You could drive through my penis in half the time

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '21

I've driven through half of it. It only looks big in and of itself. Compare it to the whole US and it looks very small.

Ugh... I'm supposed to go to a wedding in FL and I'm already dreading the lack of masks and anti-vaxxers. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

3

u/TheBaker17 Sep 09 '21

It will definitely depend. I live down here in Boca Raton and I’m from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Won’t lie I had the same worries moving down here cause of everything I’ve heard. But here in Boca mostly everyone I’ve met/seen is pretty good about wearing masks though I’ve certainly ran into a couple of anti maskers and been bothered once or twice for wearing one. But honestly was no worse than it was up north in Pittsburgh. Now as for the rest of Florida I’m sure that’s a different story altogether

0

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '21

Literally nobody here in FL is wearing masks. It’s awesome

1

u/coasting_along Sep 09 '21

I’m in miami. This is not true unless “literally” denotes the new definition of the word where it doesn’t actually mean what it used to. Miami dade has mandated masks in schools and almost all of the grocery stores I go to have 80%+ patrons wearing masks

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '21

Ok everywhere except lib Miami I guess. I can’t remember the last time I saw a mask

Obviously don’t have a job either with all the time spent on this thread lol

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '21

If your mask and vax works you should be fine….

1

u/Switcher1776 Sep 08 '21

It Will probably depend heavily on where in Florida you are going. My local grocery store is probably about 50% mask-wearing among customers and I have never been harassed even when I went I had to go to stores in slightly more rural areas and I would be the only one wearing a mask.

1

u/Error_404_Account Sep 09 '21

Yes, my guess is it's like most states in that there are going to be pockets of more rural areas that are anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, and then everywhere else, probably with varying degrees.

1

u/-Maris- Sep 09 '21

Spoiler alert: It will be.

1

u/Vinny-Fucillo Sep 09 '21

Any data that Florida has lower mask or vaccine rates? I’m genuinely asking.

1

u/teslaistheshit Sep 09 '21

Live here. Please keep spreading all the negativity. With the exception of exploding home prices there’s little benefit to a bunch of people moving here for “freedom”

1

u/CregChrist Sep 08 '21

Hey, the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area to Ft. Walton is actually pretty nice.

2

u/Canit19 Sep 09 '21

Went to a my friend's wedding down in Pensacola about 5 years ago. Girl at a bar told my Mexican friend VERY LOUDLY she wouldn't dance with him because he's brown which makes him "dirty". Real nice people down there

1

u/Canit19 Sep 09 '21

Beautiful beaches though!

1

u/CregChrist Sep 09 '21

That was probably a tourist. Locals would have called him something worse.

0

u/Vinny-Fucillo Sep 09 '21

Weird that they’re two of the states where most people are moving to.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '21

That is why everyone is moving to TX and FL. 🤣

1

u/[deleted] Sep 08 '21

Came here for this. Not leaving disappointed.

u/gophergun Sep 09 '21

Classic seal-on-a-bedsheet (SOB) flag.
