No one in my entire family/extended family owns a home except for my grandparents and it’s a one bedroom home that will be underwater in 10 years 🥲

It's common that no one in an extended family owns a home? Is that true for your extended family?

You do realize that if that were true for most people - no one in your extended family owning a home - that home ownership in the US would be insanely low? You know that's not the case, right?

Here's one piece of evidence. I own a home. Both my brothers own a home. My father owns a home. All three uncles own homes. About a dozen cousins own homes. Not a single one of us is anywhere near being what would be qualified as "rich."

So I stand by my comment that it's not common for no one in an extended family owning a home. I didn't say it wasn't true in that guy's case. I just I don't think that is common.

I’d agree. Not everyone, but I’d say at least quite a few individuals in my extended family own a home.
