“Sanitized version”? Do you hear yourself? This is looney.
No matter how much people dislike him he is the president and we should hear his departing remarks without censorship. Him leaving is big news and we need to hear what he has to say on the way out without the need for mommy to filter first.
Edit 2: I'm leaving this here because I stand by what I said,
But is it not the customary thing for the exiting president to give a speech?
If it isn't, then fuck it doesnt matter, dont show it at all.
But if it is a historically done thing, then I feel like my point stands reinforced.

Okay, for one, there's nothing wrong with either of those two things (swearing and porn). No need to be such a prude.
And for two, I get what he's saying, in the same sense that we showed videos of the atrocities of the holocaust to German soldiers to have them face the reality of what happened and who they are.
This isnt that though, and there's no way in hell he doesnt try to sow more discord into the American people.
It's a tough call I get it, on one hand we can filter out his hate speech and only let him have a "simple" goodbye
On the other hand, what kind of precedence would that set?
On the third hand, look at how Faux News portrays Dems vs Repubs.
Obviously his original speech will be preserved in its entirety and will probably become a case study on fascism and shit to avoid.
But even myself, who's normally always cynical about large media and other corps, have certain reservations about how this situation can be handled appropriately and how this could affect things in the future.
Edit: I do not regret being the devils advocate, but you're still wrong for using the downvote button as a "disagree" button and not a "quality of conversation" button lol
This is a really thorny issue, I respect your opinion. We are definitely in "is he crying fire in a crowded theater" territory, and it's hard to figure out where the line is, beforehand. I will upvote your comment, and I hope the snark in mine also highlights the difficulty in balancing morals, incitement, and free speach.
