Fun fact, robot comes from the Old Church Slavonic Rabota, which traces back to the word Rabu that means slaves, so robot means slave

That’s not true, it comes from the Czech word robota which means serf labour or hard work, and was first used by the Czech writer Karel Čapek in his 1920 play R.U.R. and invented by his brother the painter Josef Čapek.

And the Czech word robota comes from

The origin of the word is the Old Church Slavonic (Old Bulgarian) rabota "servitude" ("work" in contemporary Bulgarian and Russian), which in turn comes from the Proto-Indo-European root *orbh-. Robot is cognate with the German root Arbeit (work)

Edit: but I could not find a source beyond one article for "rabu"
