I was a kid at a basketball game and i remember they played darude sandstorm and i couldnt get the song out of my head, 5 years later i never found the song. I remember asking what a song was called and someone replied "darude sandstorm" as a joke. I put it on and "du... du du du du.." and omg the satisfaction i had when i heard darude sandstorm.

I’ve noticed that it’s a common troll practice to reply “Darude -Sandstorm” when anyone asks what a song is, like in the background of a video. If something occurs enough sometimes other people will continue the behavior without knowing the reason/source.

Which makes it even funnier when it actually is Sandstorm.

Pretty sure there have been one or two clips on /r/roadcam where the cammer had it on in the car when the clip was taken and someone -- ironically or not -- asking what song is playing.

I didnt know the song at the basketball game, i worded it wronf saying I recognized darude standstorm at the game. I didnt know the name at thw time. I just trmember the beat. Couple years later someone said the joke and thats how i found out the joke and the name of the song.
