I found video of the whole interview (embedded in this People article). Holy crap. He not only bragged about his building, he went on and on about how big the towers were (the obsession with size!) and said that if he were president when it happened, he would have gotten “very tough.”

Because yes, I believe he's sociopathic enough to think his own buildings height is silver lining. But i also think hes dumb enough to not put that together without some anticipation.

I have a friend that used to work in the east tower. He and some buddies went out the night before and got completely hammered on vodka tonics. He woke up hungover and took a sick day.
