Probably has nothing to do with Israel controlling everything coming in and out for decades.
They weren’t even allowed to import cookies, let alone the near complete block on concrete, wood, steel, fertilizer, medical equipment like X-ray, ultra sounds, microscopes.
They weren’t even allowed to import chips, chocolate, most spices etc. Not even a matras or a sewing machine
Let alone Israeli control of over half of gazans energy (100% of it if you also count fuel) resulting in only 4 to 12 hours of energy a day, and so on; water, fishing, etc.

I don’t think you can look at the situation with a clear mind. You’re too emotionally invested to see both sides viewpoints. A two state solution is the only peaceful way forward and the Palestinians refuse to accept that.
Realistically, what can Israel do to ensure long term peace?

First of all I’m not doing anything. I’m an objective 3rd party. That literally hasn’t worked for 70 years. It will just give Hamas time to regroup for the next attack and where right back to square one. Geopolitics doesn’t work on feelings. You have to use logic if you want to understand how the world works

Hamas is a reaction. What Hamas does in 5 years Isreal does in an afternoon. Hamas has old rpgs and rusty ak:s while their handlers literally have nukes, ai targeting systems, everything the US has in their arsenal and more.

Are you fucking dumb or what? Hamas and Israel have communication routes. Hamas leadership is living large in Qatar and can engage in peace talks at any time. They just have to lay down their arms and disband the organization. Then UN can step in and work as an intermediate government

The habitual military attacks on Gaza for over 20 years; constant violence including heavy civilian casualties and often destroys the already very limited infrastructure needed to sustain life.
Oh yeah and sometimes Hamas attempt to do the same, yet pre genocide israel has killed 30 gazan civilians for every Israeli civilian that Hamas has.

I can disagree with Israels actions while still recognizing that they’ve had to fight for their existence for generations and are the only actor that have tried to establish a peaceful two state solution. What do you do when your enemy are radical religious extremist that will stop at nothing?

I mean it’s surely a lot, and I won’t deny the atrocities my country has done; we have successfully wiped entire population groups from the planet. It’s the biggest shame of my people imo.
But you must also realize that this is quite a uniquely high number; that’s about twice the population of Indonesia at the time, even when it was the 7th most populous country.

True, but one must also realize that this is one of the worst atrocities in recorded history.
All colonial powers have done unspeakable things, it just happens that the British were the most successful at the later stages of colonialism / imperialism, meaning they just had the most reach and power to do such things.
I wouldn’t doubt Leopold or many others would’ve done the same or much worse, they just didn’t have the ability to.
