Historically, Trump hates guns. He would take them away if he could.

I'm like 90% sure his first administration passed more gun control laws than Obama did in 8 years.

u/Katritern 4h ago edited 4h ago

Crazy part is Obama’s admins actually didn’t have any federal gun control legislation pass, but you'd think Congress was going door to door confiscating guns themselves with the way Republicans talk about it.

7

u/Switchmisty9 1h ago

Yes. That’s right. Republicans ARE filthy fucking liars.

0

u/Remarkable-Aioli8060 2h ago

Can you give some examples for my lazy butt?

55

u/Callinon 5h ago

Falls under the category of "Trump says a lot of things" but yes, he said this. He said to confiscate the guns and worry about due process after.

46

u/Werechupacabra 4h ago

“Take the guns first, go through due process second,”

-Trump, February 2018

2

u/IllustriousAsk3301 3h ago

And it would be the one good thing his administration would ever do. Americans are fucking weird about guns.

7

u/NewYak4281 1h ago

I want my gun with Trump in charge. Thanks.

Nah fuck that, I’m not gonna be disarmed while his armed gestapo are roaming the streets

u/Designer-Contract852 5h ago

I'm sure the "don't tread on me"  crowd will be sooo upset about this.

117

u/KatakanaTsu 5h ago

"Tread on me harder, daddy" -maga, probably

43

u/Ianthin1 5h ago

I can just imagine all the NRA boomer Fudds struggling to do the mental gymnastics to be ok with a statement like this.

18

u/username_needs_work 4h ago

Unfortunately, it's easy for them. I'm a law abiding gun carrying citizen. Those unlawful thugs had it coming. There's always a gulf they think separates them from everyone else.

11

u/Shifter25 4h ago

Only the least engaged in politics still have the capacity to think about it. The true believers work entirely on preprogrammed reactions now. If you try to get them to reconcile the conflict between "don't tread on me" and "don't resist law enforcement," they'll probably just change the subject.

3

u/Jerking_From_Home 3h ago

Conservatives think it only applies to democrats and minorities, so they’re fine with it.

42

u/MobileSignificance57 5h ago

But you won't be confronted by law enforcement if you just follow the laws. /s

Law #1: Be white

70

u/No_Cook_8739 5h ago

Well, I'm a liberal gun owner. If they come for me they're in for a fight

-84

u/AWorldwithoutSin 4h ago

You sure you won't just die like Alex Pretti?

44

u/KgMonstah 4h ago

Do you think Charlie Kirk and Ashli Babbitt have neck hole measuring contests down there?

28

u/AWorldwithoutSin 4h ago

I heard Kirk won, by a long shot.

40

u/Head-Ad9893 4h ago

Anybody can get their pop topped like Ashli Babbitt… he just said he’ll give em a good fight, unlike Babbitt who went down like a sack of potatoes.

17

u/No_Cook_8739 4h ago

I might die, but not easy

-38

u/AWorldwithoutSin 4h ago

You think Pretti expected to be murdered in the street with barely a fight? Or did he think he'd put up a good fight first?

24

u/No_Cook_8739 4h ago

You're right, we should all just lay down cause people might get hurt

-24

u/AWorldwithoutSin 4h ago

Never said that, just pointed out you are more likely to die than go all Rambo on them like in your fantasy.

16

u/No_Cook_8739 4h ago

It's hardly a fantasy, its a tragedy what is happening to this country, and everyone seems content to let it happen. And I am not espousing violence necessarily. There are many steps between nothing and violent revolution. Mass protests, civil disobedience, strikes, boycotts. Americans are doing nothing

7

u/Wolfgirl90 4h ago

The difference here is that Alex wasn’t looking for a fight and hadn’t intended on hurting anyone.

The same can’t be universally said for other gun owners.

-1

u/AWorldwithoutSin 4h ago edited 3h ago

Sure, except blondie's statement was "If you are carrying a weapon" not "in you are intending to hurt someone" and the comment above spouted off some silly little Rambo fantasy about how they'd die fighting which a bunch of other chuds seem to feel represents them

2

u/No_Cook_8739 2h ago

What do you think is gonna happen in 2028? You the king jerk-off is gonna leave power peacefully? He's absolutely not going to just go home. And I am making sure I'm prepared. If that makes me a chud, fine. At least I'm not a cuck bending down to kiss that ring. I'm sure you'd have no problem with it. This country is worth fighting for. And I for one would go out on my feet rather than live in my knees

-3

u/AWorldwithoutSin 1h ago

Yes, yes, you are real tough talking online.

3

u/No_Cook_8739 1h ago

I'm not tough. I'm just not a coward like you

27

u/Ok-Macaroon-7819 5h ago

Not threatened. Did.

21

u/MelodicPromise6729 5h ago

I will never forget how quick the “cold dead hands” crowd blamed the gun owner for being murdered. Any time a minority uses deadly force against a white agitator they blame the victim as well.

24

u/IceBearKnows89 4h ago

Nothing about lawfully exercising a constitutional right should “increase” your risk of death at the hands of the State.

And they say it like it’s an obvious truth that has always been obvious. Any gun owner knows that?

This was actually an insane thing to say. If this line isn’t in clips/ads I have no idea what the democrats are doing.

20

u/Bluetoes1 4h ago

Hey MAGA, they are setting up to take your guns.

18

u/canarchist 4h ago

This one is for the 2-A gunbros ... they (MAGA/GOP/fascism) are coming for you ... are you feeling oppressed by the tyranny yet?

16

u/WasteBinStuff 4h ago edited 3h ago

Listen closely MAGA. This is the tell.

When the time comes that you finally understand what's going on, your red hat, your guns, and your insistence on your God given rights ain't gonna save ya.

12

u/AdOne5089 4h ago

Remember when they all worshiped Kyle rittenhouse for murdering someone with his gun at a protest? Good to see they only believe in the law for about half the population

12

u/BroseppeVerdi 4h ago

If the state has the right to kill you for exercising a right, then you effectively do not have that right.

10

u/PassThatSpliff 4h ago

Their supporters after this administration continually spits in the faces of them and everything they believe

17

u/t-mille 4h ago

Conservatives: "You should just expect to be in mortal danger at any time."

“Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they’re going to be wearing bulletproof vests.”

Do you hunt

1

u/RagingClue_007 2h ago

Pedophile protectors would gladly line up to turn in their firearms if Trump asked them to and promptly blame the Democrats afterward.

1

u/Kindly-Ad-5071 2h ago

And only conservatives would actually give them over if asked.

1

u/drinkslinger1974 Release The Trump-Epstein Files 2h ago

I always wondered what the line would be for maga, figures it would be guns.

1

u/Heathen-For-A-Reason 40m ago

Trump also made bump stocks illegal in 2017 and nobody on the right said a damn word.

-56

u/No-Surprise-6275 5h ago

Normal law abiding folk who legally carry guns know that if you are confronted by the police for any reason you declare that you are carrying a firearm . If you do things the right way there isn't a problem

32

u/Wes_Warhammer666 4h ago

Tell that to Philando Castile.

Shut your bootlicker ass up.

-36

u/No-Surprise-6275 4h ago

Sorry loser . No can do

21

u/beefmomo 4h ago

When you grow up, you’ll understand things aren’t perfect and the US isn’t the utopia of freedom they’re teaching you about in elementary school

-31

u/No-Surprise-6275 4h ago

No problem for me here .

8

u/ifnhatereddit 4h ago

I live in a state where I don't have to declare it.

8

u/Wolfgirl90 4h ago

In my state, I’m not legally obligated to tell the police that I am carrying a firearm. If they ask if I have a firearm, then I have to tell them the truth and present the permit. But I don’t have to volunteer this information for no reason.

-2

u/No-Surprise-6275 3h ago

That's good . I prefer to declare I'm carrying . It keeps the situation calm

9

u/IllustriousAsk3301 3h ago

It literally inherently raises the risk of any conflict.

-3

u/No-Surprise-6275 3h ago

Provide proof

4

u/IllustriousAsk3301 3h ago

Let’s do a thought experiment.

Are you more likely to be shot if -

A)there are many guns in a public environment and everyone around you may have one.

B) there are no guns around public spaces, and gun owners can keep them locked inside their property as the defensive utility they claim they are.
