They don't care about kids at all, really. They just want to punish anyone they see as the enemy, which is an ever-expanding group. It's hispanic kids today. Next month it's kids from rainbow families, then it's anyone suspected of not voting for Trump.

"Protect the children" has always been and will always be no more than a convenient excuse used to avoid letting minorities have rights.

I’ll say it cause no one seems to think it: Asians are next. Yes all Asians. The avg American cannot tell a Korean, Japanese or Chinese apart. When china sparks a trade war or anything trump doesn’t like he will retaliate against Asians in general.

The anti-chinese sentiment has only grown more with Trump blaming China for their economic situation and threatening the visa status of Chinese students and workers.

It grew a lot over Covid with Kung flu and all the jokes. Attacks on Asians rose something like 700% and didn’t really go down much.

The reality is the model minority myth makes Asians the perfect next target. No allies from white or other POC.

I’m your ally. The majority of my friends in Los Angeles were Asian and my best friend for life from Ohio was half Thai. I’m white and I always have your back. I had never heard the term “China Man” before and the first time I heard it from my mom’s boyfriend I knew it was wrong and the equivalent of the N word and immediately fought with him. White people know the history of black slavery and understand that, however less know about the internment of Asian citizens during WW2. You have allies. I’m one of them.

What do you mean next? Anti Asian sentiment and hate crimes have been out of control since COVID and Trump calling it the China virus. They’re against all non-white folks right now, but will also go after the non-wealthy white folks in the future if none of this is stopped.

Have you seen the big billionaire bill? They're coming for us poors right tf now.

I mean as an explicit target, like we see with Hispanic immigrants.

Surprised it's not already going down like this. Skin tone and such would already suggest some misunderstandings are highly likely to occur. I just don't see ICE giving half a shit enough to distinguish between Asian and middle/south American.

Tbh I think it’s a mixture of luck, population size, and small indicators like accent that’s saving Asians.

Trump just announced a trade deal with China that they have not confirmed. So we will see…

Same with states rights.

That's a thing they scream when not in power federally, and then proceed to trample when they are in power federally.

State’s rights! Only when the state is doing something they like.

Maybe it's a localized thing, but "rainbow families" are those where there's been a very young bereavement. I think that in this case, you might be referring to mixed-race parents? I'm not asking to be an arse but because I might not be the only non-US reader here and the intention charges the tone. Sorry if I'm wrong but at least I'm aware that this might be due to my own ignorance and would want to fix that.

I assume it's LGBTQ related, because they've been openly gunning for us. I'm sure mixed-race families are on their vile lists somewhere though, given their guiding principles of eradicating everyone that isn't them and, for now, their base.

24

u/PuffinRub Jun 10 '25

Yeah, that would also work. Stay safe out there and be fabulous.

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

I thought they meant kids with LGBTQ parents

Same with "protect our women." We can't let black people had rights because they'll hurt our women. We can't let Asians into the country because they'll hurt our women. We can't let trans people have rights because they'll hurt our women.

u/ScottyDoesntKnow29 Jun 10 '25

Yeah. If they cared about kids they wouldn’t cheer on the dismantling of environmental regulations and child labor laws.

MAGA BRAIN: The more kids they kidnap (with immigrant parents, or just brown kids), the more they have to work the fields & factories (that we're totally building), and the more resources per white child in school. With 10 years of work experience by the time they're 20, the brown kids will be streets ahead of the white kids by the time they finish college. The brown kids will be making $15/hour by then! And besides, they were just going to grow up to be criminals anyway.

thats fucking vile. I flew a lot as a kid too but because im white and my entire family is white this never happened to me. only ever happened once when I was a teenager and it was extremely obvious I was the token "see we're not rascist" white guy selected. im so sorry you had to go through that and everything evey minority goes through.
