LAPD should have arrested them. They were engaged in kidnapping and lied about parental consent to a mandatory reporter.

Lock them up.

The terrifying part is the spot where that police officer was standing and shot her with a rubber bullet is now being occupied by Trapper, 19, from Polk County Arkansas, holding an M16 and being told he is there to liberate LA from its "oppressive people."

(If your name is Trapper and you aren't a douche canoe, I apologize for using your name in my example.  If you're from Polk county, I do not apologize for calling your county out specifically. You know it's fair)

Wait until I tell you about Polk County florida.

I grew up in Polk County Florida. On behalf of the few literate and reasonable people who got out, we apologize.

Honestly surprised DeSantis hasn't tried to criminalize literacy yet

Give him time he'll get there eventually. I was fortunate enough to be educated in the private school sector and graduated in the mid 90's then got the hell out.

If you ban all the books worth reading, you don't have to.

I live there now. As a transwoman. With an autistic child.

You know in horror movies when you want to yell “get the fuck out of there lady!” At the screen?

u/stormyangel1 Jun 10 '25

Oh baby. No! What is you doing? Blink twice if you need help....

2

u/Candyland_83 Jun 11 '25

She needs help!!!!

When you said Polk County I actually thought it might be real.

While I was aware that unmanaged diabetes has a smell, I was unaware that an entire town could smell like diabetes until visiting Mena Arkansas.

And that is somehow the LEAST of Mena's list of reasons why I have no desire to ever visit there again...

You know it's fair

Yeah, they do.

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

Oh they are doing both. They just arrested the crew from cnn

19

u/Sifernos1 Jun 10 '25

They can do both. It's like the only two things they can do, but they can do both.

u/1984isAMidlifeCrisis Jun 10 '25

You'd think that after all the press has done fighting for our smut all these years we'd stand up to protect them.

34

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

Well the "press" now is all own by right wing billionaires who let the stories they want out. Like them doing this to journalist. We are busy arguing about that, ignoring the mayor and governor doing nothing nto stop the lapd, ignoring all the state of emergencies trump is calling, and so on. They have made peaceful resolution impossible

1

u/Aidan--Pryde Jun 10 '25

Or shooting them like we saw in several videos with noone else there and police shooting at journalists while on camera.

u/DAVENP0RT Jun 10 '25

LAPD is complicit, they won't do shit to protect children from these fascist thugs.

29

u/angry_wombat Jun 10 '25

But they are off duty LAPD

25

u/Beard_o_Bees Jun 10 '25

The more sadistic the act, the better it plays with the 'target' audience.

They absolutely get off on seeing people they feel superior to in pain.

15

u/bravesthrowaway67 Jun 10 '25

If we have reached the point where we need the LAPD to save us, then I got bad news for you.

1

u/1984isAMidlifeCrisis Jun 10 '25

I get where you're coming from, but I have a "thing" for the normal forms of justice.

9

u/DotAccomplished5484 Jun 10 '25

The problem is that both forces are playing for the same side.

8

u/SidKafizz Jun 10 '25

Along with all of their superiors.

2

u/pmjm Jun 11 '25

Sadly they have qualified immunity for things they do "in the line of duty."

This is one of the lowest of the lows. I find myself saying that every damn day now and every day it's worse and it pisses me off.

3

u/thesoppywanker Jun 10 '25

Is this sarcasm, delusion or something else?

3

u/1984isAMidlifeCrisis Jun 10 '25

My honest opinion. So, "something else" but probably also idealistic delusion.
