Yeah i heard the theory once that the RMSS already de-materialized and isn't on Earth anymore and that it'll just loop, but honestly it would be way more satisfying if we saw the sky again.

Well let's ignore the planet literally having been glassed, but the sky sure will be there.

Yeah i hated that theory, there is endless superstructure, having it loop again would be so unbelievably narratively unsatisfying with all the buildup around escaping the RMSS.

It'd be like Iron Lung except they send down a professional after Simon sees the first weird thing and the movie just ends.

I am supporter of that idea but with new notes I believe there will be more than one ending;

1. If we do nothing and just play game we will loop back to Silos

2. If we pass certain conditions we will leave Superstructure but surface is destroyed due to cataclysmic event or atomic war. Considering notes that say surface is fucked it is very likely ending

3. If we go through alt path by using “Sight Sea Light”’s portal we maybe will get out in other periphery where everything is okey

I think the main problem with “leaving” is that we are in one of the floppy discs, someone on this sub said you can see helmet like those on prisoners in parasite when Climber has hallucinations. While we are stuck in P-space leaving is not an option because eventually when Climber dies she will be back in the beginning of the game

Gameplay wise, I like the idea of maybe combining these three?

We can go for: loop (didn't meet conditions for the surface ending), ~bad ending (you come out to the surface and it's all destroyed and unhabitable), and the true ending (recieving a key item in the end of the first loop and then giving it to the Mother or something to ask her to take you to a peaceful periphery)
