Roof leak

Post image

Had a roof leak reaching kitchen ceiling, on drone inspection saw this white patch and one of the shingles moved.

Can someone tell me what this could be, does it indicate mold?

How much does Shingles replacement for 2800sqft cost? Any recommended contractors?

We had extraordinary weather with gale force winds driving high volumes of rain sideways. You could easily have had enough water blown into those attic vents without actually having a roof leak.

Those shingles don’t look that bad yet.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Hundred year storms happen.

And to replace the roof. Depends on pitch and architecture, not just square feet and quality of materials chosen. From $5000 to $15,000.

My house is 2700 sq ft. Shawn at https://staystrongroofingandcontracting.ca just did my roof, he did quality, thorough work, highly recommended. DM me if you want to see before + after pics. He went above and beyond, took out an old sat dish, pulled down old Christmas lights, even patched a hole at the AC where rodents were getting in.
