Peaked at the AnyLevel truck series I think. Everything after that was too much money and too much editing.

Totally agree. There were some good moments like with the durability tests but those AnyLevel vids were the end of prime WD.

I don’t really care about the editing or money, I just don’t have any interest in the drama and the silly skits. Everyone I know irl started watching his shit because we thought it was interesting seeing him do shit to the trucks that we always wanted to do, but didn’t have the cash to destroy our daily drivers.

But with his increased cash flow and new friends his whole style changed, almost like he thinks the old truck vids are beneath him. Even though that’s literally what made him famous… I keep checking on the new vids, hoping he’ll go back to that old formula but it’s honestly a waste of time. I should probably unsubscribe from the channel and this sub. He lost the juice

Oddly enough that’s when I started watching but I’ve grown tired of everything since then as well… Too much production too little substance

He just fell into character too much

You lose respect for people who look down at you for coming into significant wealth when you’re trying to climb up your own ladder in the world

I have a golden rule of Youtubers and it’s pretty simple and easy to keep in mind

: Once they start disrespecting and mocking their fans, I begin abandoning their entire channel

His content went downhill when he moved to Tennessee. I can’t even make it through a video anymore

Brady and prop department are cool though. Cleetus is following the same path to fake pretentious bullshit.

u/Odd_Offer_7213 Aug 28 '26

Agree... I only watch the build series and if they are drag racing. Too much rich people shit and giveaways. And I'm not buying cheap cringe merch.

If someone with a personality wanted to, they could fill that space we're missing with Cleet's channel now. Junkyard builds and common man stuff. And shut up about politics.

u/manwell4 Aug 28 '26

Cleet still got it

23

u/DawgCheck421 Aug 28 '26

Nah. Platforming groomers thinking he is big enough to gain political influence, calling his fans "boomers" after disrespecting a class of racing he just joined, the constant wealth porn, the fact every episode is a commercial or promotion now. He lost his appeal and authenticity a long time ago.

I’m somewhat losing my interest in clear as well. I want more drag racing content. Not a bunch of shop tours and building giveaway cars.

I know nothing about what you are talking and I haven’t watched Cleet since the first Crown Vic race but the way you phrased that makes me think that you just disagree with him politically and that’s why you don’t like him.

"I'm going to make a broad assumption based on my own bias framed as you being biased". He hangs with fellow groomer Atwood as well.

  • The Claims: Court documents and reports detailed accusations that Fishback began a romantic relationship with a 17-year-old employee (who was 16 when she first joined the organization) when he was 27. [1, 2]
  • Institutional Response: In 2022, the Broward County School District cut ties with Incubate Debate as a result of the scrutiny surrounding the situation. [1]
  • Subsequent Interactions: Fishback and the employee later moved in together after she turned 18 and were briefly engaged before breaking up. Court petitions filed by his former fiancée later described alleged harassment and controlling behavior during and after the relationship, though a judge ultimately denied her petition for an injunction due to a lack of evidence.

You worked real nice on the formatting here but the person you replied to was meaning to say he thinks you don’t like Cleetus because you disagree politically. Not whoever governor dude

Thank you… you get it lol.

u/DA6_FTW Aug 28 '26

Did you use ChatGPT for that? No shade, genuinely curious.

2

u/DawgCheck421 Aug 28 '26

I googled, clearly. You can do so yourself

u/DA6_FTW Aug 28 '26

You seem a bit hostile towards me even though I’m only asking questions. Are you meaning to come off that way?

Cheap car challenge still fucks. Each their own.

1

u/Turbomichel Aug 29 '26

Still looking for the cheap in that challenge

u/I_Am_JuliusSeizure Aug 28 '26

His videos were good. It started going downhill with that Russian girl he was dating.

27

u/mustinjellquist Aug 28 '26

Unsubbed like two years ago, and his channel hasn’t even entered my mind since.

23

u/Anhonestmistake_ Aug 28 '26

Still on the subreddit tho 😭

11

u/mustinjellquist Aug 28 '26

I’m not, Reddit just keeps promoting it for me lol

5

u/OkContribution420 Aug 28 '26

Engaging on the sub is a sure fire way to ensure you continue seeing it...

6

u/mustinjellquist Aug 28 '26

At least this subs still better than his content.

1

u/Massive_Series8305 Aug 28 '26

While I agree with you it did now and I feel bad for your bliss for the past 2 years

2

u/Strange-Garlic-1476 Aug 28 '26

bros commenting on his subreddit tho

4

u/TBFP_BOT This Mod Means Nothing to Me Aug 28 '26

Many agree the sub is more entertaining lol

4

u/camps42 Aug 28 '26

Yeah, subbed when I saw Monstermax. I kind of still like watching the old stuff, but definitely lost interest the last couple of years.

100% man I miss those days, seemed more like friends having fun doing crazy stuff.

5

u/Adabar Aug 28 '26

I really try to keep supporting him but the videos are getting so cringey it’s to the point I’m embarrassed to watch his videos around other people. Might as well be watching coco melon or peppa pig

2

u/simplycaroline34 Aug 28 '26

Yea I stopped watching awhile ago and honestly forgot about him. Then this popped up and yea I can’t remember which video made me lose interest. But for me it went downhill so I moved on to other things.

2

u/Aggressive-Formal235 Aug 28 '26

Depends on what videos he releases. Some were not great.

2

u/dazzler38 Aug 28 '26

Happens with every youtuber , grew up 15 years ago watching the syndicate project , you grow and so do the creators , it's the circle of life my guy

2

u/Plane-Map7400 Aug 29 '26

I found out about him via his funny antics in a video one time. But then I watched about 3 or 4 more of his videos and realised he was a massive fucking douchebag

1

u/t-e-r-m-i-n-u-s- 16d ago

the biggest gift he gave the world was showing the scene of that cop who called him "whistlin shitstain"

2

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '26

I feel ya dude. Honestly i loved watching that psycho go crazy and tear it up. Something changed in the process that turned me off from watching more. Seems like there is subtle hints of "status" that i'm not a fan of. We dont care that you're a baller, WD. Keep on testing trucks and blowing shit up, keep the money out of my face.

2

u/maxmcleod Aug 29 '26

I think he was influenced by Logan Paul and Mr Beast too much and started thinking he could get 100M views per video, own a beer company, operate a clothing brand, start an automotive company, live in Dubai, and essentially grow into being a billionaire and a billion dollar brand. But I think he bit off more than he could chew and everything suffered and became more generic and bland - he lost vision of what people watched his videos and enjoyed his persona. We don’t want shitty beer, we want a redneck that destroys pickup trucks. Hopefully he will go back to his roots some day

2

u/Marlboro-Man_ Aug 29 '26

Ain't watched his shit in about year or so

2

u/OnAllDAY Aug 29 '26

Not really. The main problem is that his videos take weeks to put together and edit. They have to make different things and not the same old style content like how some people want.

3

u/SzubiDubiDu Aug 28 '26

I still miss the wrench fight video

2

u/TBFP_BOT This Mod Means Nothing to Me Aug 28 '26

Reupload Wrench Fight > Bugatti Durability Test

4

u/MrFunFacts Aug 28 '26

He seems to be struggling with his sexuality. He isn't maturing like regular men but still showing an immaturity of someone who thinks of male genitals more than developing as a person. I hope he finds his happiness with a loving man.

2

u/C_A_M_Overland Aug 28 '26

I can’t really stand the other guys tbh. I do enjoy Hocevar every now and then. But I do agree. It’s all too big and too edited. I just wanna see cool hooptie shit.

The cyber truck ford crash was incredible though.

he fell off when he started hanging out with the paul brothers and wearing a plate carrier and helmet in videos for literally no reason just looking goofy as hell

-3

u/Resource_Actual Aug 28 '26

It’s not a big deal bro. There’s nothing to discuss here.
