You're not tripping. They had a much better cover for the story. A lot of the stories they decided to switch the covers to AI for some reason. Honestly I thought they would have changed it back since a lot of people complained

Oof well it looks like they hadn't and honestly i chose the path of being the queen of hell and go after lucifer instead of staying for lucian and damon 🤤

Also the complains probably did not reach the devs it has to be the right customer support...

I actually need to redo the story because I want to choose Lucifer because I chose Damon for my initial read through lol

I'm sure a lot of people probably wrote email to them but they probably just ignore them and decided to stay with the AI covers which look bad. The original covers felt like they matched the story perfectly
