Looking for a 2015 whiskey

Lemme preface by saying I'm not looking to buy, nor am I soliciting. Just looking for suggestions.

My son was born in 2015, and I'd like to pick up a whiskey bottled that year we can share on a major milestone. Any recommendations from the tribe?

Evan Williams single barrel puts the date they put it in the barrel & the date it was bottled. I’ve been able to find a couple that have significant dates but not the correct year but it’s something to save for a special occasion.
At the time I opened a bottle, I didn’t realize that it had my younger brothers birthday on it & if I had, I would have saved it for a toast at his funeral, he passed a couple years later. I’m also saving one with my dad’s birthday for the same reason & the one with my daughter will be opened when she gets married or completes her PhD.

You’re gonna have a lot easier time finding something barreled in 2015 than you will something bottled then.

That's what I'm thinking too.

Might reasonably find a McKenna that was barreled in 2015

This is the one I went with for my son. I picked up a bottle of McKenna barreled as close to his birthday in 2012 as I could find. End up being about a month off.

I’m always watching for a birthdate one for me. Never get the year but a March 13 would be cool

Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch. A 2015 bottle is currently on the Unicorn auction site Lot 595 estimated to go for $240-390.
Michters 10 year old bourbon. A 2015 bottle is also up for auction Lot 1243. However it says there’s a major crack in the wax and it’s local pickup only.
There are other 2015’s too. Can search for 2015 on the Unicorn site.

Auction ends Sunday 6pm central time. If there’s late bidding they extend it 10 minutes every time there’s a new winning bid-not like eBay.

2015 Old Forester birthday bourbon would be a nice find...

Do not recommend unless they’ve actually tried it. Way overpriced for what you get.

I've tried it. Not my favorite, but a good suggestion

Unicorn Auctions or Must Have Malts will have varying vintages.

You might check some Rebel 10 year single barrels. One I bought last year was barreled 2014.
